Crystal Clear Window Works announces launch of first insulating glass unit restoration and defogging franchises in Michigan.
Nashville, TN (August 2, 2007). Crystal Clear Window Works USA (CCWW®), the pioneering company that restores insulating glass units (IGU) using environmental processes under the brand "get the FOG out!" today announces the launch of two new franchises serving metropolitan Detroit, including Ann Arbor, Flint and Lansing, and central and western Michigan, including Grand Rapids and Lansing. R & R Window Repair Inc. of Detroit, and Window Savers, based in Grand Rapids, are the first companies to provide authorized window restoration and defogging services to residential and commercial properties in Michigan.
R & R Window Repair Inc., owned and operated by Robert Rammage, is an A-Rated Better Business Bureau member, and has served metro Detroit area properties with installation and glazing services for over 30 years. "We have responded to growing concerns in our market about the energy and resources consumed to manufacture and transport replacement windows" says Rammage. Up to 25% of the embedded cost of glass is energy. "We are pleased to be metropolitan Detroit's unique provider of window defogging, the only environmental alternative to glass replacement".
Mike Pemberton, owner of Window Savers, has operated a window and door supply business for over 20 years. Pemberton adds "We are bringing an innovative, 'green' technology into the market at a cost less than the current industry solution for failed windows. We have the potential to keep 50,000 tons of glass and window components out of Michigan's municipal waste streams every year. Restoring failed windows is an emerging, proven technology, which we are able to deliver to the benefit of consumer, the industry, and the municipalities today".
Crystal Clear Window Works' Defogger® System has evolved over almost 20 years of research, development and successful field installations. CCWW has brought together world leaders in moisture technology to understand and eliminate the problem of moisture diffusion into an IGU and offer functional green alternatives and cost-saving benefits. There are over 250,000 insulating glass units restored across North America using CCWW's proprietary process, commercialized since 2002.
The company sees window preservation technologies as the wave of the future. "Our objective is to build a better window. We have created a new business model for the industry through a service protocol. We are delivering an impact on the economy and the environment with ecologically-responsible services that improve thermal performance over the long haul" says Paul Lacey, Chief Development Officer at CCWW.
"We are very excited to introduce this unique service to Michigan residents. Both these companies have a legacy of product innovation, outstanding customer service, and leadership in the green building movement. The 50 years of experience they bring from their respective sectors will be a wonderful resource for our expanding network of window and glass consultants."
Crystal Clear Window Works is looking to expand with more franchises to serve the northeast and central United States.
